KCOD Mini Documentary

I am thrilled and honored to be able to take part in the Intro To Film Class at College of The Desert (COD). Their very talented instructor Toni Bakal is having her class do 5 mini documentaries  of local female musicians and I get to be one of them!  COD's Student Film Festival will be showcasing the Doc on May 19th in Palm Springs and then KCOD will be airing on their website and social media pages.  I am a bit of a music documentary fiend, so to be able to tell my story on this medium is extra special to me.  The team that handled my doc were incredible! Looking forward to the debut!

I do interviews from time to time and I am always asked the same question: Who are you influenced by? An incredibly great question, however, I always feel like I never answer it correctly.  I seem to pick 1-3 artists or bands and come to a loss for words.  After every interview I can think of so many band and artists that have absolutely shaped me and could not possibly recognize them all in one sitting.  This blog is all about that.  I wanted to publicly document, praise and thank the following artists and bands that have been brave and excellent and have been a part of my development.  This may take awhile ;)

The Beatles

Brian Wilson

Madonna

Michael Jackson

Cyndi Lauper

Travelling and good things happening!

Hey everyone!

Its been awhile since I've blogged and I forgot to update our tour shenanigans here on the site as we primarily shared everything on FB. I will be sure to post some pics this week.   Allen and I had a blast on tour and it went really well.  We made some new fans and friends and look forward to another tour next year, probably Utah being one of our destinations.  As of now, I am in Europe, I have been on a little solo journey to do some things I have never done and see some things I have never seen.  YOLO right? My journey started in NYC, which is my favorite city in the world.  As usual, I had a blast there and met some new people and heard some great Jazz.  My next stop was London. It is a great city, I hung out in SOHO and saw Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, disappointed I didn't make Abbey Road, but I did get to do a tour of Shakespeare's Globe and hang out on the South Bank.  Next was the island of Crete in Greece, the cause of all this wanderlust.  A former student of mine, and someone I call friend as well, invited me to come to her wedding there.  I couldn't say no to the opportunity and decided to make this my epic first overseas journey.  Being that Crete was so close to Italy, I thought "why not?".  I have always wanted to go to Italy and figured Rome would be a great starter city.  I absolutely adored Crete and Rome.  I love the people, the languages and the architecture.  I had a cute cat who liked to keep me company at my hotel in Italy, he was adorable!  I got up early this morning and headed to Termini Station to take a train to the airport to get to my final destination before returning home, which is Paris.    I am currently in an internet cafe in Pisa with many hours to kill before my plane leaves, so I figured I would get caught up on some things.

So, a few things happening:

My new record COURTNEY CHAMBERS LIVE is available now! It will be available in the online store soon, but in the meantime, just message me to purchase a copy.  It will be available on itunes, amazon and CDbaby.com as well.

Belinda Carlisle's new record "Wilder Shores"  is due to be released September 29th!!  I had the honor of playing acoustic guitar on her new album, she is a legend and classy lady, not to mention, one of my vocal heroines.  Turns out the 30th Anniversary edition of "Heaven is A Place on Earth" will be released the same day!

AUGUST 19th! I have my next show with my band at Willie Boys in Morongo Valley, we are playing on the bill with 5th Town!

October 7th&8th: I will be performing at the inaugural Desert Oasis Festival!!!  I am thrilled and beside myself to be on this bill and perform at this venue, The Empire Polo Grounds! The 2 day lineup includes: Damien Marley, Warren G, Moziaq, Rebelution, Reel Big Fish, Los Lobos, E-40, The Green, Kinky, Spankshaft, Inner Circle, Fishbone, Murs, JBoog, Steel Pulse and More!!!  I'll be performing Oct 7 at 4pm!!!

Hey everyone!
Much happening this year and I'm very excited about it!  Gonna get started mixing the acoustic live record and expected to be released this spring in time for our Up To No Good West Coast Tour.  My guitarist and always trusty side kick Allen Morris will be joining me on tour and sharing his amazing music as well. When we get back we will be recording a live full band record with my guys due to be released 2018 and I'm really excited about this.  Somewhere in all of that I'll be breaking ground on my 5th studio album due to be released 2019.  Whew! Also, looking forward to doing more band shows this year and teaming up with some great local bands here in the desert. Men's T's and new stickers are going to here next month, so be on the look out at shows and right here on my website!
